OnePlus Nord 3: Are Specifications Good Enough?

OnePlus Nord 3 5G is powered by the same chipset you will find on the OnePlus Pad. The OnePlus Nord 3 5G comes packing the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC and up to 16GB LPDDR4X RAM, and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.

Highlights

  • OnePlus Nord 3 5G was launched in India on Wednesday evening through a virtual launch event.
  • The launch event was an exciting one because it brought a value phone to the market from OnePlus, which the masses can afford.
  • The Nord 3 follows the success of Nord 2, which, well, to be honest, had its fair share of hiccups.

OnePlus Nord 3

OnePlus Nord 3 5G was launched in India on Wednesday evening through a virtual launch event. The launch event was an exciting one because it brought a value phone to the market from OnePlus, which the masses can afford. The Nord 3 follows the success of Nord 2, which, well, to be honest, had its fair share of hiccups. But OnePlus has managed to get my attention with the Nord 3, and here are its specifications.

Let’s dive into the camera a little.

The camera of the OnePlus Nord 3 5G is likely its highlight. There’s a triple-camera setup at the rear with a Sony IMX890 50MP primary sensor with OIS support. Along with that, there’s a Sony IMX355 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. The camera supports 20x digital zoom.

For video recording, the maximum supported resolution is 4k at 60fps. There’s also support for ultra steady mode at 1080p 60fps. For selfies, there’s a 16MP front sensor.

In connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 6 and 5G as well. The 5G bands supported by OnePlus Nord 3 5G are 5G SA: n1/n3/n5/n8/n28A(703~733MHz)/n40/n41/n78, 5G NSA: n1/n3/n41/n77/n78.

OnePlus Nord 3 5G Price in India

The OnePlus Nord 3 5G comes in two colours - Misty Green and Tempest Grey. The 8GB+128GB variant comes for Rs 33,999, and the 16GB+256GB variant comes for Rs 37,999.

At this price range, the device looks really cool. Yes, it is under a very competitive zone, but it does look good. Upon my further testing of the device, I will be able to comment on how good it actually is. Note that it is yet to go on open sale.
