AIRCEL Launches 3G Service In Karnataka and UP East

AIRCEL, which made its presence felt in the year 2010 with an pan India GSM network rollout, today announced the much awaited launch of its 3G Mobile and Data services in two more telecom circles - Karnataka  and Uttar Pradesh (East) .

After its home turf of Chennai (TN), Karnataka and UP East (Lucknow) are the  2nd and 3rd telecom circles which will now get Aircel 3G mobile and data service. The operator said that it will launch 3G services in entire 11 circles by 1st week of March & the remaining cities and circles in the 3rd week of March-2011.




As an Introductory offer Aircel announced FREE Trial of its 3G service for all its postpaid and prepaid subscribers in Karnataka and UP East (Lucknow) telecom circles. To Avail the FREE 3G Offer subscriber needs to send SMS “START 3G” to 121 or “TRY 3G” to 121.

With the FREE 3G Trial Offer customer can enjoy host of 3G service like Mobile Broadband (3G Data Service) up to 250 MB and 50 Minutes of FREE Video Callings. Beyond Free usage Data charges will be 3p/10kB (Rs 3/MB) and Video call charge 5p/sec (Rs 3/min). The offer will be available from 23 Feb to 27 Feb 2011.
