Tata Docomo, the GSM Mobile service of Tata Teleservices (TTSL) has announced the launch its much awaited mobile service in Himachal Pradesh telecom circle.
The company’s Next Gen GSM service started on a heady note in Shimla, with Tata Teleservices Limited vice-president, corporate affairs Rajeev Narayan, lighting the ceremonial lamp.
With the launch of Tata Docomo in Himachal Pradesh, its GSM Mobile service are available in 286 towns and 4,342 villages across the state.The operator announced its industry-changing “Pay-for-what-you-use” model in Himachal Pradesh,which includes the game-changing per-second pulse and a plethora of innovative applications and services.
Speaking on the launch of GSM services, Mr. Aditya Gupta, COO TTSL, HP stated "The new service presently would only be available in the pre-paid segment and the post-paid connections would be introduced later."
He also announced the launch its mobile community service dubbed as Buddynet, wherein subscribers can enjoy calling rates of 1 paisa for 6 seconds for local calls, and 1 paisa for 2 seconds for STD calls within the Own-Network.Buddynet members will also get free access to social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, Orkut, Linked-In and Nimbus.
Furthermore, TATA DOCOMO subscribers in Himachal Pradesh will also benefit from special SMS tariffs, wherein the first SMS of the day will be charged at 60 paisa—the next 200 SMS in that day, local or national, will be free.
The operator also unveil a portfolio of Value-Added Services that will reinvent mobile telephony in India, with products and services like diet-sms, Free Voicemail, Timed SMS Service, Free Missed Call Alerts,Call-me Tunes, etc—all of them customized to liberate and refresh its subscribers.
The company’s pan-India service rollout, which was kicked off in end-June 2009 and has seen tremendous response from subscribers in all the 16 Circles named Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Orissa, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh,Mumbai, Rest of Maharashtra and Goa, Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Kolkata, Rest of West Bengal, Jharkhand-Bihar, Punjab, UP (East), UP (West) and Gujarat telecom Circles.It will rolls out its services in Rajasthan circle in next few days.
