Vivo runs multiple series of smartphones for the Indian buyers. While there is the popular Y and V series from Vivo targeting the high range buyers in India, there is also the U series from Vivo which caters more to the budget and mid-range smartphone buyers. Now, in this series, we have seen the launch of the Vivo U10, which was launched a few months back. This phone by Vivo did see some substantial sale, and that was possibly because of the price worthy offering. Now, Vivo has launched another smartphone in this series, which is the Vivo U20. The next in line, newly launched device from Vivo comes with some obvious upgrades over the Vivo U10, but a lot of it also remains the same way. For example, the Vivo U20 resembles the Vivo U10 in looks, design, RAM and storage configuration, but where it actually diverges from the U10 is the camera and performance department courtesy of new sensors and a new chipset. Vivo U20 Specifications

The Vivo U20 features a 6.51-inch display that showcases a Full-HD+ resolution, and it also comes with a Halo notch up top for the selfie camera. If you are hearing about the Halo notch for the first time, then worry not it is simply a more rounded version of the dewdrop notch that we get to see on all the budget phones these days. However, the rounded notch does give the phone a much more aesthetically pleasing look. Inside the hood, the Vivo U20 sports the Qualcomm’s mid-range Snapdragon 675 chipset and this configuration pairs up with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. On the software front, the new Vivo U20 runs Android 9 Pie-based FunTouch OS 9 out of the box. Keeping things running on this device is a 5000mAh battery, which also comes with support or 18W fast charging.

When it comes to optics, and imaging on this device, the Vivo U20 sports the 16MP Sony IMX499 primary sensor. Assisting this primary sensor is an 8MP Super wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro lens as well which will allow you to shoot objects from up close. On the front, the Vivo U20 coms with a 16MP sensor which will come to use for selfies and video calling. The cameras on the Vivo U20 also support features like AI, AR Stickers, Super Wide Angle video mode, Time Lapse, Slo-Mo, 4K Video Recording, HDR, Live Photo, Group Selfie, and more. The Vivo U20 also comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, and connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB 2.0, and 3.5mm headphone jack.

Vivo U10 vs Vivo U20: Differences

When it comes to differences with the Vivo U10, as we have noted above, the main difference between the two phones lies in the camera department. To recall, the Vivo U10 comes with an 8MP front camera, and a triple rear camera setup comprising of a 13MP sensor, 8MP sensor and a 2MP sensor. In addition to this, the Vivo U10 sports the Snapdragon 665 SoC instead of the Snapdragon 675.

Vivo U20 Pricing and Availability

As for the pricing of the Vivo U20, the 4GB RAM variant of the Vivo U20 would retail for Rs 10,990, whereas, the 6GB RAM variant of the device would be available for Rs 11,990. The phone would be available for purchase on November 28, 12 PM on Amazon India website ad Vivo e-store. The colour options on this device include the Racing Black and Blaze Blue variants.
