After the entry-level phones like Redmi 8A and the Redmi 8, Xiaomi has started the MIUI 11 stable update roll out to the one-year-old Redmi Note 6 Pro. Announced exactly a year ago in November 2018, the Redmi Note 6 Pro is the successor to Redmi Note 5 Pro and it was the first phone in India to come out with MIUI 10 out of the box. Several Redmi Note 6 Pro users in India report the MIUI 11 update arrival on their smartphone and it's said to weight 565MB in size. MIUI 11 stable update brings a lot of new features like dark mode, revamped Settings app, video wallpapers, new Mi File Manager, update Mi Tasks app and so on. The update seems to be a staged one and it will not reach every Redmi Note 6 Pro user out there in India today.

Redmi Note 6 Pro MIUI 11 Update Rolls Out in India

The Redmi Note 6 Pro was one of the popular phones launched by Xiaomi in 2018. Despite coming as a minor upgrade to the Note 5 Pro, the Chinese company managed to sell six lakh units during the first sale itself and the special mention goes to the aggressive pricing. The Redmi Note 6 Pro is still the only Xiaomi phone to offer dual front-facing cameras.

Coming to the MIUI 11 update for Redmi Note 6 Pro, it's said to come in a size of 565MB via over-the-air. To recall, the Note 6 Pro is part of the third batch of devices to get MIUI 11 update and the rollout was officially said to begin on November 13. However, similar to the Redmi 8A and Redmi 8 smartphones, the Note 6 Pro is also getting the update ahead of the schedule, which is a good thing. We're expecting the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 to receive the MIUI 11 update by the end of this week as it's also part of the third batch.

MIUI 11 for Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with build number MIUI 11.0.1.0.PEKMIXM and all the features introduced by the company will make into the smartphone. The arrival of MIUI 11 on Redmi Note 6 Pro was first posted on Mi Forums, which was later on confirmed by Xiaomi officially on the same forums. MIUI 11 for Redmi Note 6 Pro is based on Android 9 Pie and not Android 10.

Xiaomi Begins MIUI 11 Rollout for the Third Batch

Xiaomi is doing a tremendous job right now as it released MIUI 11 stable update to more than 15 smartphones already. Announced at the Redmi Note 8 Pro launch event on October 16, MIUI 11 stable update rollout started with the Redmi K20 which picked up the update on October 19. Later on, we saw phones like the Redmi Note 7 Pro, Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7S, Redmi 7, Redmi Y3, Redmi K20 Pro, Poco F1 and so on getting the same stable MIUI 11 update.

Starting November 13, Xiaomi is said to release the MIUI 11 update to the third batch of phones as promised which includes the likes of Redmi Note 6 Pro, Redmi 7A, Redmi 8A, Redmi 8A and the newly launched Redmi Note 8. Yesterday, we already reported that the Redmi 8 and Redmi 8A are already getting the MIUI 11 update, whereas the Redmi Note 6 Pro is now receiving the same. The Redmi Note 8 and the Redmi 7A will also pick up the update sometime later this week or early next week. The Note 8 Pro will get the update only in December this year.
