Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro: Stable MIUI 11 Update Now Reaching India Users

The first smartphone in India to receive MIUI 11 update was the Redmi K20 and it is now followed by the Redmi Note 7 Pro. To recall, the Note 7 Pro was recently succeeded by Redmi Note 8 Pro, but it's still one of the best mid-range smartphones to purchase in India right now. The Redmi Note 7 Pro is still the only smartphone under Rs 15,000 to offer Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC as several brands opted for Snapdragon 712 and Snapdragon 710 chipsets to power their smartphones.

MIUI 11 for Redmi Note 7 Pro will make the phone even better. Features like Mi Work, new wallpapers, Dark Theme, new lock screen charging animation, new file manager and so on will surely enhance the user experience. That said, the stable MIUI 11 rollout for the Note 7 Pro seems to be a phased one as our Redmi Note 7 Pro yet to show the update notification. We would suggest you check for the update manually by heading over to Settings>About Phone>System Updates.

As noted, users report the MIUI 11 update for Note 7 Pro weighs around 750MB in size and it can be updated via OTA.

Other Xiaomi Phones Which Are Slated to Receive the Update in First Phase

At the Redmi Note 8 Pro launch event, Xiaomi India confirmed the list of devices which will get the MIUI 11 update in the coming months. As always, Xiaomi divided the MIUI 11 update rollout into batches. In the first batch, most of the devices released in 2019 like Poco F1, Redmi K20, Redmi Y3, Redmi 7, Redmi Note 7s, Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro will get the update. The first phase of rollout started on October 22 and it will end of October 31, so the owners of the smartphones mentioned above can check for the MIUI 11 stable update manually. That being said, Poco F1 is yet to receive the update and it's already worrying the owners of the smartphone on why the update is delayed. With the Redmi K20 already getting the update, we urge the Poco F1 users to wait for a couple of days.

Other popular Xiaomi phones like the Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi 6 series, Redmi Note 5 Pro, Redmi Y2 and Redmi Y2 series are slated to get the update in the second phase which will begin on November 4. The newly launched Redmi Note 8 series is part of third and fourth phases of MIUI 11 rollout, so they'll get the update by the end of 2019.
