Stable OxgenOS 10.0 Update Based on Android 10 Now Rolling Out to OnePlus 6 and 6T

As promised, OnePlus is now rolling out Android 10 update to the OnePlus 6 and 6T smartphones which were released in 2018. At the OnePlus 7T Pro launch event last month, OnePlus promised that it would roll out Android 10 update to OnePlus 6 series by the end of October. Notably, OnePlus already updated the OnePlus 7 series to Android 10, and now, it’s time for the OnePlus 6 and 6T smartphones. OnePlus says both the smartphones from 2018 will get OxygenOS 10.0 update, similar to the OnePlus 7 and 7T series. As for the features, OxygenOS 10.0 brings all the new Android 10 features introduced by Google alongside the company’s brand new design, new customisation feature inside the Settings app, new Game Space and so on.

OxygenOS 10.0 for OnePlus 6 Series: What’s New?

There are a lot of new features added by OnePlus to both the smartphones. Firstly, the overall system has been upgraded to Android along with OxygenOS’ new UI design. As you might be aware of by now, Google released enhanced location permissions for privacy with Android 10 and the same has been implemented by OnePlus as well. Android 10’s revamped gestural navigation also makes into the OnePlus 6 and 6T smartphones. Older OnePlus phones like the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro retained OxygenOS gestures, but the newly launched OnePlus 7T and 7T Pro devices only offer gestural navigation of Android 10.

OnePlus also confirmed that a new customisation feature had been added in Settings app allowing users to choose icon shapes, font and so on. There are also general bug fixes and improvements to enhance the overall user experience.
