Last month, Asus rolled out Android 9 Pie update to the Zenfone Max Pro M1 users in India. Launched last year, the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 arrived with Android Oreo on board and the smartphone was launched in several countries besides India. The Taiwanese smartphone brand has now confirmed the rollout of Android 9 Pie update to Max Pro M1 globally. Also, Asus fixed some issues with the new update and it’s also rolled out to users in India. In April, Asus rolled out the much-awaited Android 9 Pie update to the smartphone, but users complained that it’s bringing several issues which made Asus pull back the update. As always, the new update is also being pushed by Asus in a phased manner, so it may take some time to reach your smartphone.

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 New Android Pie Build Rolls Out
The new update which Asus is rolling right now comes with some bug fixes which the company added with the first Pie build. Firstly, several Max Pro M1 users complained that the update removed HD graphics setting in PUBG Mobile, but Asus is adding back the option which is a good thing to see. This feature is confirmed by several users on Zen Talk India forums as they’ve installed the update. The company also added May 2019 security patches alongside fixing the call waiting feature issue.
Having said that, Asus is rolling out the update via FOTA, and at the same time, it has released the factory image of the new version which can be installed manually on a Max Pro M1. If you’re aware of the procedure on how to install a factory image manually, we suggest you to perform that as FOTA update might cause some issues.
