Samsung Galaxy M30 to Launch a Day Before the Redmi Note 7 in India

As it rumoured last week, Samsung is all set to add a new smartphone to its Galaxy M lineup. And it's none other than the Samsung Galaxy M30 which is said to be the cheapest phone with triple rear cameras. The Galaxy M30 will be launched in India on February 27, which is just a day ahead of the Redmi Note 7's India launch. Xiaomi already scheduled its launch event for the Redmi Note 7 on February 28, but Samsung is aiming to steal the show with the Galaxy M30. Samsung is also teasing some of the features of Galaxy M30 on the web; The phone will sport a Super AMOLED display, triple rear cameras and a 5000mAh battery to back all the features.




Samsung Galaxy M30: Specifications and Features

Talking about the confirmed specifications, Samsung says the Galaxy M30 will have a Super AMOLED display and the fingerprint sensor is placed on the rear side. Even with the TFT display on the Galaxy M30, Samsung impressed everyone and we all know what the Super AMOLED displays of Samsung capable of. Like the Galaxy M20, the M30 will also be backed by a 5000mAh battery and it will have triple rear cameras. The phone may have a plastic body like the Galaxy M20.

As for the rumoured specifications, Samsung is expected to use the Exynos 7904 SoC inside the M30 and the phone will come with up to 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Like the other two Galaxy M phones, the M30 will also offer a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion. As for the cameras, it's said to have a 13MP primary sensor and two 5MP sensors, along with a 16MP shooter on the front. The phone will also run Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.

Samsung Galaxy M30: Expected Pricing and Availability

Recently, a report emerged online revealed that the Galaxy M30 will retail for Rs 14,990 for the base variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The premium variant with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage will be offered for Rs 16,990. The price seems to be on the right side like the other two Galaxy M phones and the device will surely compete with the Redmi Note 7.

It's also said that Samsung is already planning to reduce the price of 4GB variant of Galaxy M20 in the country. The current price of the M20 is Rs 12,990 (4GB RAM variant) and it might go down by Rs 1,000 in the coming days. But nothing is confirmed from Samsung's end as of now. The reason for the price cut is the Redmi Note 7's arrival.
