The mid-range segment in India is getting crowded with every passing day. The new addition to the segment is the newly launched Moto G7 Power. The Lenovo sub-brand Motorola launched the Moto G7 series in its home market Brazil a few days ago. Out of the four phones, Motorola has brought the Moto G7 Power to India and has priced it pretty aggressively at Rs 13,999. One of the many phones that go against the Moto G7 Power is the Zenfone Max M2 that Asus launched a couple of months ago. The Zenfone Max M2 currently sells for Rs 9,999 in India. Both the Moto G7 Power and Asus Zenfone Max M2 come with notched display and isn’t one of the slimmest bezels phones. Both the phones are pretty well-built and appear to be sturdy to sustain a few drops or so. Let’s talk about the offerings of both Moto and Asus phone and what they offer to the customers.




Asus Zenfone Max M2 vs Moto G7 Power: Display

The Motorola Moto G7 Power comes packed with a 6.2-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution paired with a wide notch on top which includes the single selfie camera, earpiece, and sensors. The Asus Zenfone Max M2 in comparison includes a 6.28-inch IPS LCD display which offers a screen resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9.

The Asus Zenfone Max M2 and the Moto G7 Power are both powered by Snapdragon 632 chipset. The Zenfone is available in two variants – the base model with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage and the second model pack 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The Moto G7 Power is available in one model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.

Asus Zenfone Max M2 vs Moto G7 Power: Software

Both the Asus Zenfone Max M2 and the Moto G7 Power offer stock Android experience. The Asus phone runs on a stock version of Android 8.1 Oreo and comes pre-loaded with some Asus apps. The Moto G7 Power, on the other hand, runs on Android 9 Pie with Moto experiences out-of-the-box.

The Asus Zenfone Max M2 includes two cameras on the back. The primary lens is of 13MP paired with an aperture of f/1.8, while the secondary lens is of 2MP for capturing portrait shots. On the front, the Asus phone comes packed with an 8MP camera paired with an aperture of f/2.0. The selfie shooter also comes with an LED flash. The Moto phone comes with a 12MP rear camera and an 8MP selfie camera.

The Moto G7 Power is backed by a massive 5000mAh battery, while the Zenfone Max M2 includes a 4000mAh battery.

The Zenfone Max M2 price in India starts at Rs 9,999 while the Moto G7 Power costs Rs 13,999. The 4GB+64GB variant of the Max M2 costs Rs 11,999. The Moto G7 Power comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage and it costs Rs 13,999. Talking about which one is better, the G7 Power seems to have better camera hardware on paper and a bigger battery.
