OxygenOS Open Beta Update for OnePlus 6T

So, if you're a OnePlus 6T user and are also a part of the company's beta programme, it's time for you to rejoice. With this new update, OnePlus is bringing all the latest features that the company is testing for its custom OS. OnePlus has followed this process for a long time now. Before rolling out a new feature to all users, OnePlus tests it with the beta users first and then after the feature works perfectly it brings it to all users.

To get started with the new OxygenOS Open Beta update doesn't bring too many notable features. It comes together with the latest Android security update and is already available for download for the OnePlus 6T beta users out there. As of now, there's no information if the latest beta update will also be coming to other OnePlus phones like OnePlus 6, OnePlus 5T, OnePlus 5 and the old ones.

OnePlus Makes it Easier for iPhone User to Switch to OnePlus Device

In addition to the December's Android security patches, the latest Open Beta update also brings a new feature for the users planning to move from iPhone to a OnePlus phone. The new feature lets the iPhone users migrate their data easily to a OnePlus phone. The update also brings improvements how parallel apps work, updates call history for incoming calls from unknown numbers and also optimises UI for spam messages and phone calls.

To get the new update, OnePlus 6T users will basically need to first enrol to the Oxygen OS beta program. 6T users will need first to download the ZIP file available in the OnePlus forum, which measures 1.6GB in size. Ensure to recharge your phone and connect it to a Wi-Fi network before getting the update. OnePlus 6T users should also backup all their data before updating their phone to the latest software update. It is also important to note that because this is a part of the beta update, there might be bugs available.
