Xiaomi Redmi 6A Base Variant Price in India Reduced to Rs 5,999, New Price Effective from December 13

Xiaomi had recently increased the price of the Redmi 6A in India after the rupee value depreciated against the dollar. Xiaomi has increased the price of Redmi 6A by up to Rs 600, but now the company has reduced the price of the phone back to the launch price. Xiaomi on Monday announced that the price reduction for the 2GB RAM variant of the Redmi 6A in India. After the price cut, the Xiaomi Redmi 6A 2GB RAM + 16GB storage model will be available for Rs 5,999, while the 2GB RAM + 32GB storage model of the phone will be selling for Rs 6,999. Commenting on the price cut of Redmi 6A Xiaomi says, “This festive season has been very special for us with new records broken and new accomplishments achieved. Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 6A 2GB RAM/16GB model for Rs 5,999 in India and 2GB RAM/32GB for Rs 6,999. But soon after the rupee value depreciated against dollar Xiaomi increased the price of the Redmi 6A by Rs 600 which hike the price of the 2GB RAM/16GB model of the phone to Rs 6,599. Xiaomi also increased the price of the Redmi 6A 2GB RAM + 32GB storage model by Rs 500, which increases the price of the phone to Rs 7,499. The launch price of this model was Rs 6,999.
