Motorola had a terrible outing with Moto G6 devices in India. Now, rumours suggest that Motorola is already working on Moto G7 series which will most likely include two smartphones- the standard G7 and a bigger Moto G7 Plus. Much ahead of the launch (which of course will happen in 2017), key specifications of the Moto G7 leaked online. Going by this leak, the Moto G7 will have a bigger 6.4-inch screen on the front with waterdrop notch and a 3500mAh battery will power the entire package. Other rumoured specs include octa-core processor, dual rear cameras and it will run Android 9 Pie out of the box.

Moto G7: Rumoured Specifications and Features

This is not the first time we're seeing Moto G7 surfacing on the web. Earlier, a few renders of the Moto G7 were published online which revealed the complete design of the handset. The Moto G7, according to various renders will feature a waterdrop notch on the front. For the unknown, we have seen waterdrop notch on smartphones such as the Realme 2 Pro, Oppo F9 Pro and the Vivo V11 Pro.

According to this new report, the Moto G7 will sport a 6.4-inch Full HD+ display on the front, much larger than what we saw on the Moto G6. Underneath, it will have an octa-core processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded with a microSD card.

Another notable upgrade is the 3500mAh battery which will come as a surprise to many as Motorola never launched a G series phone with such a big battery. Cameras include a 16MP primary shooter working in tandem with a 5MP depth sensor. On the front side, it will rock a 12MP shooter. And finally, the Moto G7 will have a fingerprint scanner.

According to this new report, the Moto G7 will run Android 9 Pie out of the box, which may not be a surprise as the phone will launch sometime in the first half of 2019.

Moto G7 vs Moto G6: Every Change You Need to Know

The Moto G7 will be a major upgrade over the Moto G6. To recall, the Moto G6 arrived with a 5.8-inch Full HD+ display on the front and it's powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset, clubbed with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The major letdown for the Moto G6 was its processor, so if Motorola goes with a Snapdragon 600 series chipset on the Moto G7, it will drive some sales for the brand.

The Moto G6 featured a 3000mAh battery, but the Moto G7 is said to have a larger 3500mAh battery. Also, the fingerprint scanner seems to be moved to the rear side on the G7 as opposed to the Moto G6 which had the scanner on the front.
