Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Specifications and Features
Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 5 in China in March 2018. Notably, it's the same Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphone launched by Xiaomi in India in February 2018. There are some noticeable differences between the Redmi Note 5 in China and Redmi Note 5 Pro in India such as the different camera setup on the back and 13MP front-facing camera on the front.

The Redmi Note 5 sports a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset, coupled with 3GB/4GB/6GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB/128GB of internal storage. The Note 5 Pro in India is available with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

The smartphone in China also features dual rear cameras with a 12MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary depth sensor. The primary sensor features a larger 1.4-micron pixel sensor as compared to the 1.25-micron pixel sensor on the Indian Note 5 Pro. The setup was paired with a larger f/1.9 aperture which will result in better low-light performance, compared to the f/2.2 aperture on the Indian Note 5 Pro. Also, on the front of the Chinese Redmi Note 5, Xiaomi has added a 13MP shooter, unlike the 20MP shooter present on the Indian variant.

Other specifications such as the 4000mAh battery, connectivity options of Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS & Micro USB port remain the same between the two models. The Redmi Note 5 in China is available in a few more colours of- Black, Blue, Flame Red, Gold, and Rose Gold.
