Postpaid Plans Under Rs 400 Being Offered by Telcos to Lure Customers

After entirely taking the prepaid data tariff segment by storm, Reliance Jio has slowly transitioned to the postpaid data segment this May by introducing the new Rs 199 postpaid plan. Reliance Jio with its competitive pricing is going to pose a threat to other telecom operators, and as one would have expected other telcos have already revised their old postpaid plans or launched new postpaid plans to compete with Reliance Jio. Just like the prepaid segment, the postpaid segment also remains the most competitive in the budget category of Rs 500 or below. Here are some of the must check out postpaid plans under the price point of Rs 400.

Reliance Jio Rs 199 Postpaid Plan

Reliance Jio’s Rs 199 is the plan which would make this list incomplete if eliminated. The plan which debuted on May 15 has threatened other postpaid service providers. The postpaid package by Reliance Jio has been termed to be ‘pre-activated’ meaning that users won’t have to go through the hassle of activating all services separately. Another highlighting thing about this plan is the pre-activated international calling. Speaking of data, the plan bundles 25GB data per month, combined with unlimited calling and SMS. Reliance Jio has also outlined the Rs 2-2-2 rates and Rs 10-10-10 rates for international calling wherein users will be able to send SMS for Rs 2 per message, call at Rs 2 per minute and then access data at Rs 2 per MB for select countries. For other countries, users will be similarly charged at Rs 10 per message, Rs 10 per minute for calls and Rs 10 per MB for data access.

BSNL Rs 399 Postpaid Plan

BSNL despite being a very slow adopter of 4G technology has been making active attempts to survive the blows by other telcos. The state-owned operator has managed to roll out some very attractive revisions and new plans to hold on to its existing subscriber base as well has managed to attract a chunk of new customers. In the postpaid segment, the telco provides the Rs 399 postpaid plan which offers the users 30GB of monthly data along with unlimited calling facility.

Airtel Rs 399 Postpaid Plan

Bharti Airtel is also holding on to its subscriber base by shipping the postpaid plan of Rs 399. Subscribers of this plan get 20GB data per month with the data rollover facility meaning that they will be able to use saved up data in the next billing cycle. Along with this, users also have the benefit of free unlimited calling. Additional offers include a free subscription to Airtel’s Wynk music app.

Idea Cellular Rs 389 Nirvana Postpaid Plan

Idea Cellular’s postpaid plan is very similar to the one being offered by Airtel. The Kumar Mangalam Birla led telco has also stood the competition thanks to plans like this. This Rs 389 plan by Idea ships 20GB data per month to the subscribers with data carryover facility meaning that users will be able to use the data in the next billing cycle. Users also get the added benefit of 300 SMS per month and free local, STD and roaming calls. Buyers also get the free subscription to Idea’s portfolio of apps like Idea Movies and TV, Idea Games and Idea Select Membership.

Vodafone Rs 299 RED Basic Postpaid Plan

In its RED series of postpaid plans, the Rs 299 Basic RED plan remains the cheapest postpaid offering by the telco. Under this plan, Vodafone is providing 20GB data per month to the users along with free unlimited local, STD and roaming calling. There is a data rollover facility in this plan which has been capped at 50GB. Apart from this, subscribers also get access to Vodafone Play for 12 months straight. Vodafone claims that the total benefits of this plan are worth Rs 2,400.

Vodafone Rs 399 RED Entertainment Postpaid Plan

The second plan by Vodafone in this list is the Rs 399 postpaid plan. Under this plan, Vodafone is offering 40GB data to its subscribers with data rollover facility. The data rollover has been capped at 200GB for the next billing cycle. Also, users will enjoy free unlimited local, STD and roaming calls. The plan also bundles free Vodafone Play and Amazon Prime Membership for 12 months along with access to Red Hot deals.
