Xiaomi's CEO Lei Jun already confirmed that the Mi Max 3 phablet would be launching in July. Besides that, we don't have any information related to the smartphone, officially. However, the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 has now been certified by TENAA, which is the Chinese regulatory site and all the smartphones which are yet-to-be-released in the Chinese market have to get TENAA certification. The regulatory listing has three variants of the Mi Max 3- M1804E4C, M1804E4T, and M1804E4A. And the model numbers in the listing are not matching with the Chinese 3C certification model number, so it' safe to assume that the device in the 3C certification is a different Xiaomi smartphone because these model numbers are in-line with those of Mi Max 2 and Mi Max.
And the specs listed in TENAA also suggest that it's a phablet with a massive 6.9-inch screen on the front. As per the TENAA listing, the Mi Max 3 will have a 6.9-inch Full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. At the heart of the phone, there will be a 1.8GHz processor, and as expected, it could be the Snapdragon 636 SoC. Xiaomi always uses the same processor as it used to power the latest Redmi Note smartphone on a new Mi Max device. The Redmi Note 5 Pro has the Snapdragon 636 chipset and it's an educated guess that the Mi Max 3 will also make use of the same chipset.
The three variants featured different RAM and storage. The M1804E4C variant is listed to come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, whereas the M1804E4T and M1804E4A variants will come in multiple storage options- 32GB, 64GB, 128GB along with 4GB & 6GB of RAM.
The Mi Max lineup is known for the stupendous battery performance and it will remain the same with the Mi Max 3 because it's nearly confirmed to pack a 5400mAh battery. Lastly, the TENAA listing suggests a single rear camera for the Mi Max 3, but that may not be true as renders suggested a dual rear setup for the smartphone. The primary sensor will be a 12MP unit. Speaking of the selfie camera, the Mi Max 3's M1804E4C variant will pack a 5MP shooter, whereas the other two variants are listed to come with an 8MP shooter on the front. The Mi Max 3 will boot Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
