Samsung Unveils Chromebook Plus V2 With Built-in Pen, 4GB RAM and 32GB Internal Storage

Samsung, on Thursday, unveiled the successor to its notebook which it introduced last year. At an event in New Jersey, the South Korean giant announced the Samsung Chromebook Plus V2. The new Chromebook by Samsung is a 2-in-1 convertible laptop which comes with aluminium, glass and plastic design. The notebook will be available across Bestbuy stores starting June 24 with a starting price of $499.99 (approx. Rs 34,000). The laptop which comes with a sleek design and built-in pen runs on the Chrome OS.

Samsung Chromebook Plus V2 Specifications
The second generation of the notebook, Samsung Chromebook Plus V2 boots Chrome OS out-of-the-box. The laptop features a 12.2-inch Full HD screen with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. Being a 2-in-1 device, the laptop also comes with a touchscreen display which renders a peak brightness of 300 nits. Speaking about the processor, the notebook runs on Intel Celeron 3865Y processor which comes accompanied by 4GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage. The laptop also features Intel HD 615 graphics.

Alanna Cotton, Senior Vice President and General Manager at Samsung Electronics America said about the launch "Today's consumers want to be able to maximise their communication while also expressing their creativity wherever they are, and the new Samsung Chromebook Plus fulfils that need. For those who choose Chrome OS, we wanted to give them a lot of reasons to choose the new Samsung Chromebook Plus, as it is designed especially for people who never stop moving, to match their pace and magnify their creativity.”

On the imaging front, the laptop sports a 13MP rear camera sensor which comes with f/1.9 aperture and autofocus capabilities. The front of the laptop has a 1MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. Speaking of connectivity options, the Chromebook Plus V2 sports two USB Type-C ports, one USB 3.0 port, a microSD card reader, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. There are two 1.5W stereo speakers, and the battery of the device is of 39Wh. The weight of the laptop measures to be 1.33kg.
