Vivo Z1 is Yet Another Smartphone With Display Notch and Snapdragon 660 Chipset

Vivo is on a launch spree at the moment, both in its homeland China and India. Vivo today announced yet another smartphone in China, dubbed as Vivo Z1. This is yet another Vivo smartphone with a notched display and Snapdragon 660 AIE chipset. Vivo seems to be in love with the notch and the powerful Snapdragon 660 processor as it released way too many smartphones with the same combination in the X series. This smartphone also runs the latest Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, boasts dual rear cameras and of course comes in three different shiny colours- Black, Red and Blue. Vivo may not launch this device in the Indian market though.

Vivo Z1 Specifications and Features
The Vivo Z1 is limited to the Chinese market at the moment, but there are chances of Vivo launching it in other countries, excluding India. The smartphone has a physical fingerprint scanner at the back, same as the Vivo V9 smartphone that was launched a while back in India. The design of the Vivo Z1 is also pretty much similar to Vivo V9 with the same 19:9 6.28-inch display on the front and the same vertically positioned cameras at the back. There’s a small chin, same as the OnePlus 6.

Under the hood, the Vivo Z1 is fuelled by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE processor, which was also used on Vivo’s earlier smartphones such as the Vivo X21, Vivo X21 UD, Vivo X20 and so on. It comes in a single 4GB RAM and 64GB storage option with support for storage expansion up to 256GB with a microSD card.

Cameras in the device include a 13MP primary sensor to the back, which is paired with a secondary 2MP sensor. The phone also offers Face Unlock feature with the help of 12MP selfie shooter. It measures 7.89mm in thickness and weighs 149grams. It’s backed by a 3260mAh battery.
