After being in the news for a while, the LG K30 is now official in the United States for a price of $225 (approx. Rs 14,998). The K30 looks exactly similar to the LG X4+ smartphone that was unveiled a while back in South Korea. The LG K30 is exclusive to T-Mobile in the US market and the users can purchase the device under contract too at $9 (approx. Rs 599) per month for a period of 24 months. Also, it’s unknown at the moment whether LG is planning to launch this device in the Indian market or other Asian markets. The highlights of the LG K30 are the Snapdragon 425 SoC, 13MP rear camera and the presence of a fingerprint scanner at the back. Most of the smartphone brands including LG stopped offering fingerprint scanners on entry-level and budget devices in favour of the trendy Face Unlock feature, but the K30 boasts a biometric sensor at the rear.

The LG K30 sports a 5.3-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, and there’s no mentioning of the protective layer used on the smartphone. At the heart of the phone, we get the Snapdragon 425 chipset, paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There’s a microSD card slot as well for storage expansion up to 2TB. The smartphone measures 8.6mm in thickness.
