Its been a while since OnePlus started teasing the OnePlus 6 smartphone, but the launch date of the phone is still a mystery. Earlier, there were a couple of launch date leaks, but none of them was proved to be reliable. However, today’s leak sort of comes from OnePlus itself. The Chinese company recently started a new OnePlus LAB program where it will be selecting few people to test the OnePlus 6 before the launch itself. And one of the readers of gsmarena enrolled in the OnePlus LAB program following which OnePlus sent an email with all the details, terms & conditions of the program. And the email even has the launch date of the smartphone, which is May 21.

That’s quite a long time for the device to arrive, especially considering the fact that the company started teasing the device since the first week of April. However, going by previous OnePlus launch teasing on social media platforms, the device will go official in the first week of May. Even though if OnePlus launches the smartphone on May 21, it will the first time the Chinese company launches a device in May, way earlier than its traditional June-end release.
If the global launch of the product is on May 21, then the Indian launch will follow a week later, and the sale will commence in the first week of June. So the OnePlus fans who’re eagerly waiting for the OnePlus 6 to arrive have to wait a bit more to get their hands on the smartphone.
