Samsung India has officially announced the mid-range Galaxy J7 Duo smartphone for Rs 16,990. The J7 Duo, which will be available in Black and Gold colour options will be up for sale across offline stores starting April 12, 2018. For the most part, the specifications of the Galaxy J7 Duo remain the same as compared to the earlier launched Galaxy J devices, but the highlights of this device include dual rear camera setup, Android 8.0 Oreo presence and Face Unlock feature. The device will compete with the likes of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and the newly launched Nokia 6 (2018) smartphones in the country.

Just yesterday, we reported the complete specifications of the J7 Duo and the official specs fall in-line with the same. Diving into the specifications of the Galaxy J7 Duo, the smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and sadly, it’s a 16:9 display, not the trendy 18:9 display panel. And Samsung is offering an HD display smartphone at Rs 16,990. Well, only the South Korean smartphone giant can answer the question of ‘WHY.’
Internally, the phone is powered by the 1.6GHz Exynos 7 series chipset, which works in tandem with 4GB of RAM. There’s 32GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 256GB with a microSD card slot. But there’s no update on whether it’s a dedicated microSD card slot or a hybrid SIM card slot.
