Two new Samsung smartphones with model numbers SM-A600FN and SM-A605G today paid a visit to Geekbench benchmarking site. The mysterious smartphones are said to be the unannounced Galaxy A6 and A6 Plus. Samsung will be expanding its Galaxy A lineup with more smartphones this year, and these could be the third and fourth devices after the Galaxy A8 and A8 Plus smartphones, which were launched earlier this year. The benchmark listing reveals that the Galaxy A6 will have an Exynos processor, while the A6 Plus will be powered by the popular Snapdragon 625 SoC. That's slightly unusual as Samsung uses the same chipset in both the regular and Plus variants, but that's what the benchmark listing suggests. Both the phones are running Android Oreo at the time of benchmark.

The Galaxy A6, going with the model number SM-A600FN will be powered by the Exynos 7870 SoC, which is Samsung's own mid-range chipset introduced to take on the Snapdragon 625 SoC. The Galaxy A6 will ship with 3GB of RAM and Android Oreo. It achieved a single-core score of 723, followed by a multi-core score of 3605.

Moving on to the Galaxy A6 Plus with model number SM-A605G, it is said to feature the Snapdragon 625 chipset, coupled with 4GB of RAM and Android 8.0 Oreo. This phone achieved a single-core score of 739 and multi-core score of 3469.

The benchmark scores are pretty similar in both the devices, however, even though having a 4GB RAM module, the A6 Plus wasn't able to match the Galaxy A6 in the multi-core score.

Rest of the specifications of these smartphones are unknown at the moment, but Samsung is expected to launch them very soon. The South Korean company is also preparing other mid-range devices such as the Galaxy J8 Plus, J6 (2018) and a couple of On series devices in India. That said, the second quarter of 2018 could be the period Samsung expected to launch a plethora of devices. In the case of Galaxy A6 and A6 Plus, the latter is expected to reach the Indian shores like the Galaxy A8 Plus.
