Infinix Note 4 Started Receiving Android 8.0 Oreo Update in India

Infinix, the high-flying smartphone brand today announced the rollout of Android Oreo OTA update to the Infinix Note 4 smartphone in India. With this rollout, the Transsion Holding company now has two Android Oreo devices under Rs 10,000- the Hot S3 and the Note 4. For the unaware, the Note 4 was launched last year, while the Hot S3 (review) made its debut in the country last month. While several companies in India focus on battery life and performance aspect under Rs 10,000, Infinix is the only brand taking the software aspect as a challenging one. Besides the Oreo rollout announcement, the company also introduced Women's Day offers on Infinix Note 4 and Zero 5 smartphones. These offers are already live on e-commerce portal Flipkart as part of Women’s Day Sale.

The Infinix Note 4 is currently available at Rs 7,999, down from its original price tag of Rs 8,999. And the Infinix Zero 5 flagship smartphone is available at a discounted rate of Rs 15,999, down from the original price tag of Rs 17,999. On top of the discount offers, Flipkart is also offering additional 10% instant discount for HDFC credit/debit card users.

Infinix currently has a wide-range of products in the Indian market, and the company is going after Xiaomi in the price-to-specifications ratio. At the discounted price of Rs 15,999, the Infinix Zero 5 offers 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

The Infinix Note 4 was launched last year with a price tag of Rs 8,999. It comes equipped with a 5.7-inch Full HD IPS display, and the USP of the phone is the 4300mAh battery present inside. It's powered by an octa-core processor, which is coupled with 3GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. The Note 4 boasts of the metal body and has a 13MP rear camera. It has an 8MP selfie shooter to the front.

The phone is available in Ice Blue, Champagne Gold and Milan Black colour options. The Android Oreo update for the Note 4 has been in the beta phase for quite some time now and the final build will start rolling out from March 10, 2018.

Coming to the flagship smartphone, the Infinix Zero 5 offers a 5.98-inch Full HD display and is powered by the MediaTek Helio P25 chipset. It offers 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. At the rear, there are two cameras- a 12MP wide-angle lens and a 13MP telephoto lens. The phone even offers a Portrait mode. To the front, there's a 16MP shooter with LED flash support. This package is backed by a 4350mAh battery. It is available in colour options of Sandstone Black, Champagne Gold and Bordeaux Red.
