Infinix Zero 5 and Zero 5 Pro smartphones are now available for purchase in the Indian market. Both the smartphones were launched last week and will be exclusively available on e-commerce portal Flipkart. The Infinix Zero 5 is priced at Rs 17,999, while the Zero 5 Pro costs Rs 19,999 in the Indian market. Flipkart also listed some launch offers as well.

The e-commerce portal is offering flat 10% discount for the customers purchasing the device with HDFC debit/credit card. Telecom operator, Reliance Jio also partnered with Infinix to offer up to 100GB additional data with a recharge of Rs. 309 and above. Customers can also get additional Rs 1000 off if they exchange their old smartphone.

The difference between the Infinix Zero 5 and Zero 5 Pro is additional storage on the latter. The Zero 5 comes with 64GB of internal storage, whereas the Zero 5 Pro doubles the storage to 128GB. That said, both the smartphones come with 6GB of RAM, and they're also among the few smartphones that offer 6GB of RAM under Rs. 20,000.

Talking about the specifications of the Infinix Zero 5, it comes with a 5.98-inch Full HD display. Sadly, Infinix has used a 16:9 display, and not the latest 18:9 trend. So, the Zero 5 and Zero 5 Pro smartphones feature large bezels on top and bottom.

The Zero 5 is fuelled by the MediaTek Helio P25 SoC. The storage in the smartphone can also be expanded up to 128GB with a microSD card. The Mali-T880 MP2 GPU will take care of graphics in the smartphone.

Infinix is touting the cameras in the smartphone. There are two cameras at the back of the phone- a primary 12MP wide-angle RGB sensor and a secondary 13MP sensor with a telephoto lens. Up front, Infinix has added a 16MP front-facing camera, which can take some decent selfies.

All the connectivity options such as 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, and a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. The phone also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The device boots Android 7.0 Nougat with Infinix's XOS skin on top. The device will be available in attractive colour options- Sandstone Black, Champagne Gold, Bordeaux Red, and Bronze and Gold. Lastly, the Zero 5 is backed by a 4350mAh battery.

The Infinix Zero 5 smartphone seems powerful on paper. Will you purchase the Zero 5? Let us know by commenting below.
