HMD Global will be looking to launch a decent number of Nokia smartphones in 2018 to capture some market share. So far we know that the company is working on a successor to the Nokia 6 mid-range smartphone, dubbed as Nokia 6 (2018). The name of the smartphone doesn’t inspire confidence, but that’s what we have for now to call the device. A new TENAA listing has revealed yet another variant of the Nokia 6 (2018) with model number- TA-1054, hinting that the device will come in two variants.

Two weeks ago, TENAA certified a Nokia 6 (2018) model with an 18:9 display and a few images were also listed by TENAA. Today’s listing of the TA-1054 model also has the same images, but the specifications of this model differ. The first difference between these two models is the display. While the first listing suggested an 18:9 display for the Nokia 6 (2018), today’s listing reveals the standard 16:9 screen for the TA-1054 model.
The Nokia 6 (2018) with TA-1054 model number will come with a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. So, this model number may look similar to the original Nokia 6 which is currently retailing for Rs 14,999 in India.

Nevertheless, there are some differences in dimensions of the newly certified TA-1054 model and original Nokia 6. Firstly, the dimensions of the TA-1054 model are 148.8×75.8×8.15mm with a screen-to-body ratio of 73.2%, while the original Nokia 6 has 154×75.8×7.85mm dimensions and 70.7% screen-to-body ratio. Secondly, the weight of the smartphone is also increased to 172grams from the earlier 167grams.
