Xiaomi will likely launch the next generation Redmi smartphones- the Redmi Note 5 and the Redmi 5 lineup next week. Several renders of both the smartphones are surfacing on the internet revealing the external look of the smartphone. That said, a new set of renders of the Redmi 5 Plus have leaked online on Chinese microblogging site Weibo.

However, there's no conclusive evidence that these renders are of the Redmi 5 Plus, but they stand in-line with the previously leaked ones of the said smartphone. As you can see in the images, the Redmi 5 Plus has an 18:9 display and it is expected to be a 5.5-inch HD+ display. On the other hand, the Redmi Note 5 is rumoured to offer a 6-inch Full HD+ display. Thanks to the 18:9 display, the overall footprint of the smartphones remain largely as the current generation Redmi devices.

At the back of the phone, there's a dual camera setup on the Redmi 5 Plus as well. This was also in-line with earlier rumours. Both the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi 5 Plus are said to come with dual camera setup. The Redmi 5 is expected to arrive with a single camera.

Coming back to the hardware setup, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is expected to come with a Snapdragon 630 SoC in India and MediaTek Helio P23 chipset in China and other regions. The Redmi 5 Plus, on the other hand, will come with Snapdragon 625 SoC or there are chances that Xiaomi will use the Snapdragon 630 SoC itself. The standard Redmi 5, which Xiaomi will launch in India will come with Snapdragon 450 chipset.

As of now, there's no info on the dual camera setup of both the smartphones, but the secondary sensor could act as a depth sensor to add bokeh effect to the images. As seen with earlier Xiaomi devices, both the smartphones will come in several RAM and memory configurations. Xiaomi might ditch the 2GB RAM standard variant, and expected to make the 3GB variant as a standard one.

All the devices will likely come with MIUI 9 out of the box, and they're said to arrive with a smaller 3790mAh battery inside. Xiaomi might unveil the devices before November 11 to cash in the sale period in China on November 11.
