Panasonic P99 With 4G VoLTE, 5-inch HD Display, 2000mAh Battery Announced at Rs. 7,490

Panasonic India is looking for a massive festive season as the company is launching smartphones for fun these days. Just in the last 10 days, the brand has launched four smartphones, which also includes today's Panasonic P99 smartphone. The Panasonic P99 is yet another entry-level smartphone from the company, priced at Rs. 7,490.

The Panasonic P99 is already up for sale in the Indian market in the offline market and comes in three colour options- Champagne Gold, Black, and Blue colours. The highlight of this smartphone is it comes laden with Android 7.0 Nougat and 4G VoLTE support, which has become a common feature in smartphones releasing these days.

Speaking about the specifications of the smartphone, the Panasonic P99 flaunts a 5-inch HD display with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels. It is powered by a 1.25GHz quad-core processor, which is clubbed with 2GB of RAM. Panasonic has added a 16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB with a microSD card.

Cameras in the device include an 8MP primary camera with LED flash support and up front, there's a 5MP front-facing camera. Panasonic has added several modes in the camera application of the smartphone such as night, professional, beauty, burst, Panorama, and HDR. The front-facing camera also has modes such as HDR, beauty, and burst mode.

Apart from the 4G VoLTE connectivity option, the Panasonic P99 also comes with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, and micro USB port. The smartphone weighs 145grams and is backed by a 2000mAh battery, which is a huge letdown.

Commenting on the launch, Mr Pankaj Rana, Business Head – Mobility Division, Panasonic India, said, “We are happy to announce an addition to our P-Series smartphone range, the stylish P99 with improved display and various front and back camera modes for our consumers. The new device is equipped with an upgraded version of Android 7.0Nougat so that you can multitask and are connected to the world. This new launch will expand consumers’ choice of mobile phones in this price segment."
