Motorola was expected to launch the upper mid-range Moto X4 smartphone yesterday, but it didn't happen. However, the smartphone's launch is not far away because the Moto X4 now received Federal Communication Commission (FCC) in the US.

For the unaware, smartphones which are to be sold in the US have to be certified by the FCC to meet the required legal requirements, and the Moto X4 now has it, meaning it will be launched very soon. Thanks to the FCC listing, it even revealed the complete specs of Moto X4, which is in-line with earlier leaked specs of the device.

As it was rumoured earlier, the Moto X4 will flaunt a 5.2-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The display will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 technology. Under the hood, the Moto X4 is confirmed to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset, paired with Adreno 508 GPU and 4GB of RAM.

Internal storage in the Moto X4 will be 64GB, which can be expanded up to 256GB with a microSD card. Almost all the renders of Moto X4 leaked until now suggested a dual camera setup at the back and a gorgeous design. The listing revealed that the Moto X4 will feature two 12MP sensors at the back. One 12MP sensor captures standard RGB shots and the other one captures dedicated monochrome shots.

Frontal, the Moto X4 will have a powerful 16MP selfie camera, a first in a Moto device. The device features all glass body, and the device may have wireless charging support as well. Both the front and rear cameras are accompanied with an LED flash.

The Moto X4 will be backed by a 3000mAh battery, with Motorola's Turbo Charge support. However, the Moto X4 will be released with Android 7.0 Nougat OS, rather than Android 8.0 Oreo. The smartphone will also feature IP68 rating, and comes with a thickness of 7.3mm. The Moto X4 will come in three colour variants- Gold, Super Black, and Sterling Blue. The phone is expected to retail for Euro 350 in the Europe.

At the moment, the launch date of the Moto X4 is still uncertain. In India though, Motorola is launching the Moto G5S Plus on August 29.
