With the official launch date just around the corner, the Meizu M6 Note has been spotted on the GeekBench listing today, giving away the key specs of the phone. Along with the specs, few images of the device have also been leaked revealing the design of the smartphone.

It was earlier rumoured that the Meizu M6 Note will come wrapped with a MediaTek Helio P-series processor which was quite convincing as Meizu is known for using MediaTek chipsets in most of its devices. However, the listing on the GeekBench website claims a different story. As seen on the listing, the handset will now come with an octa-core Qualcomm SoC clocked at 2.02GHz, but a specific Qualcomm processor has not been mentioned.

If we are to hazard a guess, it could be the mid-range 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset which offers the same number of cores and the same clocking speed. This processor is often used in the budget to mid-range smartphones and is seen in devices like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 and the Moto G5 Plus. The SoC is further shipped with 4GB of RAM for multitasking.

As per the leaked images, the M6 Note flaunts a sleek design accompanied by a rear-mounted dual-camera setup and two subtly placed antenna lines. The rear panel of the phone looks eerily similar to the iPhone’s build, save for the camera module.

The company has kept the phone away from the limelight for the most part and as a result, we do not know much about the device yet. Some of the reliable rumours include a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with a Full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution and the aforementioned dual-camera setup.

Already confirmed in the previous design leaks, the Meizu M6 Note will feature its customary Meizu-style home button that doubles as a fingerprint sensor as well. On the imaging front, the Note 6 is expected to sport two 13MP sensors with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, and dual-tone LED flash.

Meizu, the Chinese smartphone maker known for producing affordable quality handsets is all set to launch the Meizu M6 Note on August 23. However, there is no word whether this device will be made available outside of the Chinese borders and make an entry in India.
