Samsung's flagship phone, the Galaxy Note 8 will be officially launched on August 23, at an unpacked event in New York. The Galaxy Note 8 is on its way to becoming the company's first ever dual camera smartphone, whose lens is rumoured to be supplied by the Samsung Electro-Mechanics. There are countless rumours about the dual lens camera system of the Galaxy Note 8.
Being a Samsung sensor, the company has listed all the features of the dual camera sensor in its website. A few days ago, it was reported that the Galaxy Note 8 is on its way to becoming the first smartphone to offer 3x digital zoom. And yes, the informatics material available on the official Samsung website says that the device will have 'Smart Zoom' feature, which will enable 3x zoom to capture the images.
So, it's now clear that the Galaxy Note 8 will have a secondary telephoto lens to capture zoomed images without losing details in the picture. The listing also shows a 'Refocus' feature, which is likely the Portrait mode. For the unaware, Portrait mode is a feature which focuses on the subject and blurs the background in the image heavily. Furthermore, Samsung will allow you to change the subject even after capturing the image.
There are other modes such as Perspective and Super Night Shot. With the Perspective mode, you can tilt the images in any angle you want, whereas the Super Night Shot gives less noisy images during low-light conditions.
The Galaxy Note 8 will reportedly have two 12MP sensors at the back, and both the sensors will feature Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). That said, Samsung is prepping big with the Galaxy Note 8's dual camera.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will have high-end specifications, similar to the Galaxy S8 duo. The smartphone will have a 6.3-inch QHD+ display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC/Exynos 8895 chipset, 6GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, 8MP front-facing camera, Android 7.0 Nougat with Bixby preinstalled, and a 3200mAh battery. There will be a variant of Note 8 with 256GB storage on board. The price, as expected, will be on the steep side.
