Samsung, in March officially confirmed that they would be releasing the refurbished Galaxy Note 7 in some emerging countries such as India, Vietnam, etc. alongside the company’s hometown South Korea. A couple of days ago, the refurbished Galaxy Note 7 running Android Nougat received Wi-Fi certification from Wi-Fi Alliance. And today, we have the pricing details of the phone along with an estimated launch.

Samsung is planning to launch the refurbished Galaxy Note 7 in South Korea by the end of June, and the phone will reach other countries later on. Rumour also said that Samsung would release the phone by cutting the price down just by three to five percent.

As it turns out to be a surprise for everyone, Samsung is looking to price the device at $620, which is equivalent to Rs. 44,500, according to ETNews.com . Samsung initially released the phone for Rs. 59,990 in India and around $850 in the US. At the rumoured price, the device is still costly as there are many other phones with the same Snapdragon 820 chipset on the market selling at a cheap rate.

Also, the refurbished Galaxy Note 7 might be called as Galaxy Note 7R and the model number according to the recent Wi-Fi certification is SM-935S. Also, the original Galaxy Note 7 with model number SM-930F received the Wi-Fi certification. We still wonder why. Samsung will release the phone with Android Nougat.

Speculations are rife that the refurbished variant of the Note 7 will have a smaller battery at 3200mAh and will be subjected to various battery checks before the official release.

Samsung’s decision to sell the phone in June could be due to the speculated Galaxy Note 8 release in August. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 may launch in August 2017 or maybe at the IFA 2017 event in Berlin.

The refurbished phone will be first launched in the company’s homeland South Korea and will be gradually rolled out to other countries. When the Galaxy Note 7 comes out, the price of the Galaxy Note 5 will be reduced.
