The telecom industry in India is witnessing some massive changes from the past five months or so, thanks to Reliance Jio and its free services. With the Reliance Jio's free services set to expire on March 31, 2017, the entire focus in now slowly shifting towards the JioPrime subscription scheme. To compete with Reliance Jio's new user benefits, the Anil Ambani-led RCom yesterday came out with probably the best new user plans. On the flip side, Aircel also came out with a new plan that is competitive enough with the RCom's offer.

Due to the constant pressure from Reliance Jio and rival operators, RCom finally came out with attractive plans for new users. The company is now offering unlimited 3G data for new users at just Rs. 99 with a daily data cap of 500MB. The company also has an attractive plan of Rs. 149, which gives 3GB of data with a validity period 28 days. Subsequently, the company is also offering 1GB of 4G data at just Rs. 49 and 2GB of 4G data at just Rs. 99. All these plans come with unlimited on-net voice calls and off-net calls charges of 1 paise per second.

Aforesaid, Aircel also came out with a new scheme for new users. In Aircel, all the new users whoever recharges with FRC 83 will get extra benefits of talk time with all the recharges made in future along with free national incoming roaming calls. The best part is this plan is valid for 180 days.

Aircel also introduced a new special recharge plan of Rs. 82, which gives the user 2GB of 3G data for news users. That said, this SRC 82 will be valid for 28 days from the date of recharge. So, the new users of Aircel will get free incoming roaming calls, low calls tariffs, extra talk time benefits with future recharges, and 2GB of data at just Rs. 165.

All said and done, the RCom's new user plans are offering better benefits that the Aircel ones, but again, both the networks have poor coverage across the country. Will you enrol yourself as one of the members of either RCom or Aircel by availing these extra benefits? Let us know in the comments section below.
