According to the images revealed by Evan Blas on VentureBeat, the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 will follow the same design theme as last year's Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge albeit with more rounded corners and a larger fingerprint scanner. Both smartphones are said to be water- and dust-resistant for better endurance against weather and surroundings. Rejoice! There will also be a USB Type-C port for easier wired data transfer and charging.

In terms of specifications, the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 edge will feature 5.1-inch QHD Super AMOLED display and 5.5-inch curved edge QHD Super AMOLED display, respectively. The new feature would be "always-on" display mode that displays content on the display, draining just 1 percent battery per hour when enabled. Both devices would be equipped with 12-megapixel primary cameras with phase-detection autofocus, OIS, ƒ/1.7 aperture, and 4K video recording as well as 5-megapixel front-facing cameras. These primary cameras are said to have very good image quality even in low-light conditions.

These devices would be equipped with 64-bit octa-core Exynos 8890 processor with custom designed M1 cores accompanied by 4GB RAM, 32/64GB storage space (128GB variant will be introduced a bit later), a microSD card slot (upto 200GB), and 4G LTE connectivity. The Galaxy S7 is said to feature a 3,000 mAh battery while the Galaxy S7 edge is said to pack a 3,600 mAh battery, and both feature fast wired as well as wireless charging.

Samsung will announce these devices at MWC 2016 in Barcelona, Spain in the end of February, 2016. LG G5 and Xiaomi Mi 5 will be announced at the same expo, and we will bring you the latest news from the scenes. What do you think about the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge?
