Microsoft unveiled Windows 10 for smartphones during its BUILD 2015 developers conference, but no new smartphone was announced that was running Windows 10 out-of-the-box. However, everyone expected Microsoft to announce a couple of high-end smartphones during the official availability of Windows 10, that is, sometime around the end of July.

Earlier, these high-end Windows 10 running smartphones were expected to be the Microsoft Lumia 940 and the Microsoft Lumia 940 XL, however, the company seems to have changed their model numbers. Now, WindowsCentral is claiming that they have received some exclusive information regarding those devices – Microsoft Lumia 950 and Microsoft Lumia 950 XL – running Windows 10, and both of them are rocking some high-end specifications.

Both the devices feature polycarbonate unibodies with aluminium buttons, QHD AMOLED displays, 64-bit processors from Qualcomm, 3GB RAM, 32GB of internal storage space, 20-megapixel camera sensors, large batteries, and USB Type-C ports. Interestingly, both the devices also feature iris scanners that will unlock the device under a second.

Lumia 950 Specifications

  • 5.2-inch OLED display, WQHD (1440x2560 pixels) resolution, Gorilla Glass Protection
