One of the major whine that most of the manufacturers used to take on Xiaomi was about its after-sale services. Now, to backfire all those concerns, Xiaomi has tied up with a web-based portal GadgetWood. The collaboration will now provide customers one-day repair and also device delivery services.
The partnership has been made permanent after running a 3 month pilot program in Delhi-NCR region, wherein around 500 customers availed the test services and the results were satisfactory.
Xiaomi India head, Manu Kumar Jain told EconomicTimes, “We want to bring door-delivery services to customers, who otherwise have no time to travel and identify outlets to service their gadgets in.”
GadgetWood is a web-based multi-brand repair provider for smartphones and tablets. It also deals in onsite pickup and delivery of devices along with unlimited doorstep assistance. It enables buyers to access live updates regarding the status of the repair process, there are ways such as, SMS updates, telephonic and remote support, through which customer can get the update about the repair status. GadgetWood is barely a year old startup, which recently raised Rs 1.1 crore in the first round of funding from Indian Angel Network.
GadgetWood co-founder and director, Jayant Jha, told the national daily,“As a startup, we are constantly looking for such opportunities. We reached out to them (Xiaomi India) and got a quick response,” he said.
This new service by Xiaomi could prove to be really beneficial for the customers who generally don’t have time to rush to after sale service centers.
