Xiaomi has officially announced two Smart TV STB’s in China, dubbed as the Xiaomi Mi Box 4 and Mi Box 4c. It’s been a while since Xiaomi launched an STB; To be precise, the last launch of Mi Box 3s and Mi Box 3c happened back in November 2016. The highlight of the newly announced Mi Box 4 and Box 4c is the support for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and 4K HDR. The Mi Box 4 is priced affordably at 349 Yuan (approx. Rs 3,480), and the Box 4c retails for just 249 Yuan (approx. Rs 2483). Both the STBs are already up for preorder in China, and the open sale will commence from February 1, 2018.

Xiaomi Mi Box 4 and Box 4c Specifications
Talking about the specifications of the Mi Box 4, it has a square-shaped design and weighs around 145grams. The Box 4 will be available in a single white colour option and measures 1.6cm in thickness.
Hardware side of things, the Mi Box 4 is powered by a 64-bit quad-core chipset, which is paired with an unknown graphics unit. The chipset is coupled to 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, which takes care of system operations.
Xiaomi did not announce which software the Mi Box 4 will be running, but we’re expecting it to boot a custom interface like MIUI. Ports-wise, we get an HDMI port, AV port, and a USB port for connecting external devices such as hard disk or pen drive.
