Gionee S10 With Dual Front and Rear Cameras, 6GB of RAM, Helio P25 SoC Announced

Gionee, earlier today has launched its camera-centric Gionee S10 smartphone in China. Gionee has been a big player in the selfie game for a quite some time now, and the company is now betting big on the rear camera as well. The Gionee S10 is the world's second smartphone to come with four cameras- two rear cameras and two front-facing cameras. Gionee has launched the phone in three variants- Gionee S10, Gionee S10B, and Gionee S10C.

The Gionee S10 is the premium variant of three phones, while the S10B is a mid-ranger, the S10C sets itself into the entry-level niche. Of the three, the S10 is the only one equipped with four cameras. The S10 features a 16MP and 8MP rear cameras with 6P lens and f/1.8 aperture. Up front, the device has a massive 20MP primary sensor and an 8MP wide-angle sensor.

The Gionee S10 comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio P25 chip, paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The device will be sold in five colours- black, blue, green, gold, and white starting today in China. A big 3450mAh battery backs the entire package of Gionee S10.

Coming to the mid-range Gionee S10B, it flaunts a 5.5-inch Full HD display and is powered by the MediaTek Helio P10 chipset. The chipset will work in tandem with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There are two cameras at the back of 13MP and 5MP with PDAF, and a dual-tone LED flash.

The S10B retains the same front-facing camera as the Gionee S10 and has a larger battery of 3700mAh, which is an advantage. The S10B will be sold in only three colours- black, gold, and white.

Moving on to the last variant, the Gionee S10C, it rocks a 5.2-inch HD display. Also, it has only one camera at both the front and back. It has a got a 16MP snapper at the back with a LED flash, PDAF technology. There's a 13MP front-facing camera in the S10C.

The Gionee S10C is fuelled by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 427 chip, clubbed with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Also, it's backed by a decent 3100mAh battery and comes in black, green, white, and gold colour options.

All the three smartphones run on the Amigo UI 4.0 based on Android Nougat. Both the Gionee S10B and S10C will be up for sale in China from June 9.

Regarding pricing, the Gionee S10 costs 2599 Yuan (approx. Rs. 24,500), the mid-range Gionee S10B retails for 2199 Yuan (approx. Rs. 20,800), and the Gionee S10C sets you back at 1599 Yuan (approx. Rs. 15,100). Also, Gionee did not state any Indian availability of the three smartphones, but the launch may happen in coming months because Indians love selfie smartphones.
