Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL) has announced new 3G data STVs offering night data usage and reduced night data tariff. The STVs offer night data tariff of 9p/MB and 5p/MB, which is almost 99% discount when compared to current data tariff of 4p/10KB. The new data tariff will come into effect from May 21st, 2016 on PAN India basis.
STV Rs 3/5 offer reduced night data tariff of 9p/MB during night hours of 2am to 6am and comes with a validity of one day. While data STV Rs 63 offer same night benefit for 28 days.
BSNL has also introduced STVs Rs 26 and Rs 46 offering night data benefit of 500MB and 1GB respectively along with reduced night data tariff of 5p/MB.

The latest night data pack from BSNL is in response to similar night data packs which was introduced first by Airtel followed by Idea recently. At reduced night data tariff of 9p/MB, users would be able to use 1GB of night data for Rs 90. Similarly at 5p/MB users would be charged only Rs 50 for 1GB of night data usage. However, unlike Idea and Airtel which offer night benefit from 12am to 6am, BSNL night usage is limited from 2am to 6am.
