Taiwanese major, Asus has just announced the Asus ZenPad 3S 8.0, an upgrade to last year’s ZenPad 3S 10.0 at the Computex 2017 event. The newly announced ZenPad 3S 8.0 features a better chipset, improved design, and a QHD display. However, Asus did not reveal the pricing of the product and the company did not either announce the product on stage. Instead, they silently showcased the tablet.

Famous tipster, Roland Quandt have revealed the images and specifications of the tablet on his Twitter handle. The Asus ZenPad 3S 8.0 features a model number Z582KL. The tablet flaunts a 7.9-inch QHD display claiming to deliver super crisp viewing angles.
The ZenPad 3S 8.0 is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC, which is the last year’s mid-range SoC from the chipmaker. While there are better SoCs available in the market than the Snapdragon 652, including the slightly powerful Snapdragon 653, Asus has gone with the former itself. However, it is not a bad chip by any means.
The chipset is accompanied by either 3GB or 4GB of RAM along with 32GB/64GB of internal storage. Optics-wise, the ZenPad 3S 8.0 has a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. The cameras in the tablets never impressed us, but Asus has added a better sensor in the new tablet.
The tablet runs Android 7.1 Nougat with ZenUI 3.5 on top. The ZenUI 3.5 comes with various features such as one-handed mode, dual apps, ultra power saving mode, etc. Also, it is one of the feature-rich yet massively bloated Android skin out there.
