Aircel launches “Aircel Ka Azaadi” recharge with unlimited calling & data at Rs. 123

To celebrate the 70th Independence Day, telecom operator Aircel has announced the launch of a new recharge offer “Aircel Ka Azaadi” at Rs. 123. It offers an unlimited calling to any local network and unlimited data with a validity of a day.

“The existing customers will get unlimited benefits as they will enjoy unlimited downloading, live video streaming, browsing HD content, gaming and unlimited talking,” mentioned a release from the company.

Commenting on the new launch, Anupam Vasudev, Chief Marketing Officer, Aircel, said, “With ‘Azaadi Offer’ we are removing the cost barrier for our customers and replacing it with unlimited benefits. The special product offers freedom from worrying about mobile bills and making it special for customers to spend a day loaded & packed with music, movies, social networking, chatting, sharing HD content, talking, etc. We truly cherish the relationship with our customers and this is our way to be a part of their Independence Day celebrations.”

Meanwhile, in another news, Bharti Airtel has entered into the Rs. 3,500-crore deal with Aircel to acquire rights to use the latter's 4G spectrum in eight telecom circles -- Tamil Nadu (including Chennai), Jammu & Kashmir, West Bengal, Assam, North East, Orissa, Bihar and Andhra Pradesh. Aircel’s 4G airwaves in the 2300 Mhz band are valid until September 20, 2030.

“With reference to the earlier intimation dated April 08, 2016 & July 10, 2016 w.r.t the acquisition of rights to use 20 MHz 2300 Band BWA spectrum from Aircel, Bharti Airtel Ltd has now informed BSE that the proposed transaction has been successfully concluded for Odisha circle following the receipt of all necessary approvals and satisfying all the conditions (including conditions stated in the Spectrum Trading Guidelines),” the company issued a statement.
