BSNL To Raise SMS Tariff From Tomorrow

Looks like India's National Telecom backbone and Pan India 3G Mobile Service provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) is now working in full swing to generate more and more revenue from its GSM Mobile Services.

BSNL has raised its SMS charges (base rates) by 10paisa to 20paisa per SMS in various prepaid plans which will be effective from tomorrow i.e. 1st November 2011. Now SMS charges under "Per Second plan", "Per Minute plan" (all @49), “2G Special”, “3G Special” & “Pyari Jodi” revised to 60 paisa per Local SMS and 70 paisa per National SMS.




All Local/National SMS charges while National Roaming across India with in BSNL/MTNL network will be revised to 70 paisa per SMS in the above all plans effective from 1st Nov, 2011.
