Building upon the momentum of its recent launch of GSM services in Assam, S Tel, the youngest telecom player in the state, today announced the launch of its GSM Mobile services in the North Eastern states.
Commencing its GSM services in 3 states i.e. Tripura, Nagaland, and Meghalaya, starting with majore cities and towns including Agartala, Dimapur, Udaipur, Kumarghat, Ranir Bazar, Chumukedima, Jowai, Nongpoh, S Tel services would reach across 87 towns & over 26% of the population in the state by year end.
To cater to the needs of its target segment, the company has announced product offerings that are simple, transparent and easy to understand with no hidden charges.
Some Highlights of the Tariffs:
- Starter Pack of Rs.49 with 30 days validity. S Tel also offers per second plan (1paisa/ 1 sec) with recharge of Rs6 only with the starter pack.
- Limited Period Launch Offer - Full Talk Time on all top - up denominations. This is the first time that any operator has launched such an offer in the North East market.

Within six months, we aim to double the size of our retailer universe i.e. above 2300 point of sales thus ensuring easy access of products anywhere across our markets of operation.
