The Google Assistant is getting better and better with every passing day. The search giant has now announced the integration of Google Pay into Google Assistant, allowing users to make payments via the Assistant. Of course, Google Pay is yet to make its way to the Indian market, so for now, this feature is limited to the United States. Users can now easily send or request money from their contacts using Android and iOS phones in the US. Also, Google announced that users would be able to send money on voice-activated speakers like Google Home very soon.

The whole process is very simple: You just have to ask the Assistant to send money to other, or receive money from others. For example, you can ask the Assistant as: Send $5 to contact; it will automatically start the process, and the payment will be done via Google Pay service.

Also, there's no need to be worried if you haven't already signed up for Google Pay as Google will prompt to set up your Pay account as soon as you ask the Assistant to send money to your contacts.

Furthermore, funds will be transferred almost instantaneously says Google, even if the recipient doesn’t have a Google Pay account. Google will notify the users via an email, text message or notification (only if they have the Google Pay app installed) if they receive any payment.

However, it' sad that Google is not bringing these features to the Indian market. The Google Pay may not make its way to the Indian market because Google is already riding on the success of Google Tez in India. Hopefully, the company integrates the Google Tez with Assistant with the same functionality as the Google Pay and Assistant in the US.

Nothing is confirmed for now. Google is actively adding new features to the Google Assistant and Google Tez in India. The former recently received Hindi language support, while the latter received Bill Payments option. Within a short period of time, Google Tez has managed to grab the headlines with its minimalistic interface and Rewards program. Google is still offering Rewards for users making transactions on the Google Tez application.
