Indian smartphone brand M-tech today announced the cheapest dual camera smartphone in the country, dubbed, M-tech Foto 3. As the smartphone name itself suggests, it offers dual cameras at the back, accompanied by an LED flash along with a front-facing camera. The price of the smartphone is set as Rs 4,499. The M-tech Foto 3 will be made available in three colour options- black, white, and gold across 20,000 major retail stores in the country. This 4G VoLTE smartphone will also be available across the leading online portals.
Diving into the specifications of the smartphone, the M-tech Foto 3 has two 0.3MP sensors at the back, along with another 0.3MP sensor on the front. The primary camera on the rear captures coloured shots, whereas the secondary sensor comes into play for the depth effect.
At the front of the phone, there's a 5-inch display, but again, it has a disappointing FVWGA resolution. M-tech has gone with a 1.3GHz quad-core processor to power the smartphone, which is coupled to 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. On the brighter side, the smartphone also has a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB.
It boots Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and is backed by a 2400mAh battery. The phone is rated to offer six-seven hours of talk time. Connectivity options in the phone include 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a micro USB port.
Overall, the M-tech Foto 3 disappoints in the specs aspect. There are way better options at the similar price from iVoomi. And if you invest a bit more, you can get the Xiaomi Redmi 5A or the Tenor D at Rs 4,999 which offers insane value for money. The Redmi 5A is miles ahead of the Foto 3 smartphone and who needs 0.3MP cameras in 2018? Only the company could answer this question.
