Huawei P20 Event Invite Hints Triple Camera Presence on the Flagship Smartphone

Huawei today confirmed that its next-gen flagship smartphones, the Huawei P20 and P20 Plus will be launched on March 27. The Chinese company sent out media invites for an event to be held in Paris, and the invite clearly hints that the phones will arrive with triple cameras on board. Yes, you heard it right. Huawei will be integrating three cameras at the back of the phone, and as per the rumours, the cameras will be aligned vertically, like the recently launched Mate 10 series.

As you can see in the image, there are three circles everywhere like in the background and even in the ‘MOOORE’ word. Also, the invite says the P20 and P20 Plus will have Artificial Intelligence features like the Mate 10 series. It would be interesting to see how this triple camera setup works with AI.

Rumours say that Huawei is working closely with Leica to develop this camera module. It is also said that there will be a 40MP sensor with 5x hybrid zoom, which is way ahead of current generation smartphone cameras present on smartphones such as the iPhone X and OnePlus 5.

To be noted, the P20 and P20 Plus will be first smartphones ever to sport three cameras at the back. Just a couple of days ago, Huawei’s P20 Lite smartphone was certified by FCC, and guess what, it has a notch at the top like the iPhone X. The notch is expected to house the selfie camera and earpiece along with other hardware. But both the P20 and P20 Plus are yet to be certified by FCC.
