Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is the next much-anticipated smartphone from the house of the Xiaomi. The company is expected to announce the smartphone later this month or in early November. Usually, Xiaomi announces a new Redmi Note smartphone in August every year, but this year, the Chinese firm has changed its plans.
Xiaomi has already launched the Redmi Note 5A smartphone with entry-level specifications, but the Redmi Note 5 will feature mid-range specifications. Today, two new images of the Redmi Note 5 (probably) were posted on Chinese microblogging platform Weibo.
Since the very first rumour, the Redmi Note 5 is said to feature dual camera setup at the back, and the images reveal the same. The Redmi Note 5 will not be the first Redmi smartphone to sport dual cameras because the Redmi Pro released last year came with a dual camera setup.
Nevertheless, Xiaomi fans would be excited to see dual camera setup on the Redmi Note 5 though because of the popularity. Furthermore, an image captured of a Xiaomi employee at the recent event in China revealed a mysterious Xiaomi dual camera smartphone. The best part is the alleged image and the Xiaomi smartphone in the employee's hands boast a similar design. So, it' safe to assume that the device is indeed the upcoming Redmi Note 5.
The Redmi Note 5 is expected to come with a 16MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor at the back, with secondary sensor, might act as a depth sensor. Other technical specifications of the Redmi Note 5 were leaked online as well.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is expected to flaunt the same 5.5-inch Full HD display with increased brightness levels and might be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC in India. The Chinese Redmi Note 5 is rumoured to come with Helio P25 chipset. The device will come in different storage and RAM variants-3GB/32GB, 4GB/64GB.
The device will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat based MIUI 9 out of the box and is backed by a 3790mAh battery. The smartphone will feature unimetal body design. As seen with earlier Xiaomi smartphones, the Redmi Note 5 will also be priced competitively, but the Indian launch will take place early next year.
