Priced at Rs. 36,999, the Nokia 8 is aimed at competing with OnePlus 5, which is the best smartphone under Rs. 40,000 until now. The Nokia 8 is the company's first flagship smartphone after launching an array of mid-range smartphones such as Nokia 6, Nokia 5, and Nokia 3. All the three devices are priced on the steeper side, but the Nokia 8 has got a perfect pricing.

Coming back to the specifications of the Nokia 8, the smartphone has a 5.3-inch QHD display with a resolution of 1440x2560 pixels. The display is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 glass, and it even has a 2.5D curved glass on top. The QHD panel extends to a pixel density of 554 PPI. The Nokia 8 measures 7.9 mm in thickness, and weighs 160grams.

The highlight of the Nokia 8 is its design. Like the mid-range Nokia 6, the Nokia 8 also shines with its distinctive design language, which doesn't resemble any other smartphone in the market. The Nokia 8 ships with latest Android 7.1.2 Nougat out of the box with Android 8.0 Oreo slated to release in the coming weeks. The Nokia 8 will be amongst the few smartphones to receive the Android Oreo update this year.
