Leaked Press Renders of Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) Reveals a Complete New Design

Last week, Samsung’s mid-range Galaxy J5 (2017) was leaked online by Roland Quandt, and now, the same tipster has leaked the press renders of Galaxy J7 (2017)- the bigger variant of the Galaxy J (2017) series (probably). That said, the J7 (2017) also features the same design language of the J5 (2017), and it’s a completely revamped design when compared to the 2016 edition of Galaxy J smartphones.

The edges are more rounded to make the devices look like the Galaxy S7 series, but these phones feature unimetal body, rather than the glass and metal construction. The complete metal body made Samsung add the antenna bands over the rear camera, which is the best implementation we’ve seen on any smartphone till date. The 2017 edition of Galaxy J smartphones will be available in four colour options- Blue, Rose Gold, Black, and Gold as you can see in the image below.

Not only the design of the phones is similar, but the specs of all the Galaxy J (2017) will also be similar, sans the screen size and battery capacity. The Galaxy J7 (2017) will feature a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920. Under the hood will be the Samsung’s in-house Exynos 7870 chipset with a 1.6GHz octa-core CPU.

The Galaxy J7 (2017) will feature a modest 3GB of RAM, which is a let down because other mid-range phones are fuelled with 4GB of RAM. However, Samsung may release a Galaxy J7 Max- the bigger variant of the Galaxy J7 (2017) with a 5.7-inch Full HD display, 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage.
