Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro is Another Upper Mid-Range Samsung Phone With Snapdragon 625 SoC Priced at Rs. 27,990

It looks like Samsung is on a launch spree. After announcing the budget Samsung Galaxy J3 Pro just a couple of days ago in India, the company has announced yet another upper mid-range phone, the Galaxy C7 Pro to take on the phones such as Oppo F3 Plus, Vivo V5 Plus, and Motorola Moto Z Play.

The Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro is priced at Rs. 27,990 and will be sold exclusively on Amazon India from April 11. The phone will be available in two colour options- gold and navy blue. For the uninitiated, the C7 Pro was announced in China earlier this year.

The smartphone has the potential to compete with the Chinese phones with its specifications. It flaunts a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED Full HD display with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels, carrying a pixel density of 386 PPI. Under-the-hood, there is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chip clocked at 2.2GHz.

There’s 4GB of RAM, clubbed with Adreno 506 GPU to take care of the graphic intensive tasks. Samsung has added the Always-on display to the phone, and it also supports Samsung Pay, which was launched in India recently.

Samsung has added 16MP camera on both front and back. Incidentally, the USP of the C7 Pro is its 16MP front-facing camera. Of late, Samsung is betting big on the selfie cameras on its phones, and the C7 Pro gives stiff competition to selfie-centric phones such as Vivo V5 Plus and Oppo F3 Plus, which are also priced in the same range.

It comes with 64GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 256GB via hybrid microSD card slot. The phone also has a fingerprint sensor embedded into its home button. The C7 Pro packs a 3300mAh battery and weighs 172 grams. The phone feels slim in hand at 7mm thickness. It runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on top.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth, GPS, and NFC. The C7 Pro has sensors such as the accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, and proximity sensor.

What do you think of this phone from Samsung? Will you prefer this over the likes of Moto Z Play and OnePlus 3? Let us know in the comments section below.
