Telenor India appoints Anil Kumar as new Circle Business Head for UP-West circle

Telenor India, today announced the appointment of Anil Kumar as the Circle Business Head (CBH) of UP-West. He has been associated with Telenor since 2009 in various roles at Circle and Corporate Office and was instrumental in setting up Telenor operations in India.

Announcing the appointment, Sharad Mehrotra, CEO, Telenor India said "Anil is a seasoned sales professional and a competent leader. I am confident of his strong business understanding and leadership capability in delivering positive results and growth. Together with the team at UPW, he will make the circle the best on target contribution and engagement.”

On the appointment, Anil Kumar, Circle Business Head-UPW, Telenor India said ‘At Telenor, I have aways been given challenging and break through assignments that have helped me contribute to my growth and development. With such a passionate and committed team, I am confident of achieving the next phase of growth in business through our well- established value proposition of offering affordable and value-for-money services, which are loved by our customers. I look forward to this new opportunity of working collaboratively with the UP West team in delivering growth and engagement.

Anil Kumar in his previous role was responsible for handling the Sales and Distribution for Telenor India along with added responsibility as CBH of Assam. Prior to this, he was the S&D Head for M&G Circle where he contributed to business growth immensely. He has rich experience in telecom industry working in similar roles with organisations like Idea Cellular, Vodafone and Reliance Communications.

The change in leadership will be effective 20th July 2016
